This is how DüsseldorfCongress endeavours to make arrivals and departures of organisers and visitors as environmentally friendly as possible:
An average of approximately 25 % of all visitors to DüsseldorfCongress arrive via the local public transport network. DüsseldorfCongress conceives attractive offers to make switching to public transport as easy as possible. For selected events low-cost combined tickets are made available, with entrance tickets simultaneously usable throughout the entire local transport network as a valid travel permit to and from the venue. Further, DüsseldorfCongress works towards making travelling by public transport increasingly convenient, for instance by communicating with transport providers on a regular basis to increase the frequency of bus and train or tram services for the duration of large-scale events, or by securing additional shuttle services.
DüsseldorfCongress uses two natural gas vehicles as part of the company fleet. Natural gas vehicles benefit from significantly reduced emissions of harmful substances compared with petrol or diesel-engined vehicles. They also emit far less CO2 and furthermore offer the option to use regenerative biogas. Owing to their lower CO2 emissions, natural gas vehicles are equipped to make a valuable contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In the city and its surroundings DüsseldorfCongress has implemented a traffic routing system facilitating easy access to the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf and to our other venues.
