- Climatisation:
The entire CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf, including all rooms and foyers, is climatised. However, each room has its own heating and cooling system. The room climate system not only adapts to the chosen temperature but is also air-quality sensitive. To achieve maximum cooling efficiency, the cooling units are activated as required.
- Lighting:
All lighting concepts realised in our venues are energy-optimised. In Room 1, for instance, benefits from state-of-the-art lighting systems operating with a high level of efficiency. Further, former event lighting equipment has be replaced by new and far more energy-efficient LED lighting.
- Alternative Energy Sources:
Currently we are investigating the use of solar cells to generate electricity and hot water. For this purpose a solar energy system is planned to be installed on the roof of the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf in the foreseeable future. In total the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf has been able to reduce its energy consumption by 23 % in recent years, which is all the more remarkable considering that the occupancy rate has risen by 36 %. Since the company’s energy saving policies are constantly being developed, further energy savings are to be expected.
