Young professionals are a worthwhile area of future-oriented investment – this is why DüsseldorfCongress considers the support of training to be a crucial part of its social responsibility.
Here you will find two examples of educational activities in which DüsseldorfCongress is involved:
- Member of the IHK (chamber of commerce) examination board:
The DüsseldorfCongress team includes three examiners for the vocational programmes ‘Veranstaltungskaufmann/-frau’ and ‘Veranstaltungstechniker/-in’ (event manager and event technician). Being voluntary members of the IHK examination board, the examiners provide support to our apprentices and regularly take part in IHK seminars on innovations regarding examination procedures and methods as well as concepts and guiding principles pertaining to examination practice.
- Cooperation with the IST-Studieninstitut:
As part of a cooperation with the IST-Studieninstitut für Kommunikation (training institute for communication), DüsseldorfCongress is actively involved in encouraging young aspiring event management professionals. The Düsseldorf IST-Studieninstitut offers specialised vocational initial and further training in three core areas: event management, public relations and communication.
In order to provide event management students with a practical framework, the institute decided to enter a cooperation with DüsseldorfCongress. Here the students are offered wide-ranging insights into the process of planning and realising a wide spectrum of large-scale events. In this way students are given the opportunity to gather first impressions of their future field of work.
- Cooperation with the FH Worms:
The Fachhochschule (college of higher education) Worms and DüsseldorfCongress have formed a partnership aimed at giving students the opportunity to put acquired knowledge into practice in the course of a work placement or trainee programme with DüsseldorfCongress. The faculty ‘Tourism / Travel Management’ strengthens the college’s role as one of the leading German institutes of higher education in the travel and tourism sector. The FH Worms develops and maintains a value network, working closely with their partners, such as the college’s other faculties, excellent further institutes of higher education in Germany and abroad, and, particularly, with renowned international companies in the travel and tourist sector.
