Organised by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the format is one of the leading international platforms dedicated to the future of congresses in the healthcare and life sciences sector. Host of the event is D\u00fcsseldorf Convention, which together with ICCA will welcome the global community to CCD. Each year, the format contributes to the global discussion on science, technology, and regulation, offering a dynamic platform for knowledge transfer and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keynote speakers include <strong>Dr. Stephan Martin<\/strong>, Director of the West-German Centre of Diabetes and Health and Chief Physician for Diabetology at the Catholic Hospital Group D\u00fcsseldorf, and <strong>Dr. David Matusiewicz<\/strong>, Dean of Health &amp; Social Affairs at FOM University. Prof. Matusiewicz will also address the transformative potential of digitalisation for the future of healthcare meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another highlight is the participation of students from DHBW Ravensburg and D\u00fcsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, who will jointly design a session on the \u201cNext Generation of Business Events Professionals\u201d. They are supported by Michael Roloff (Fresenius University of Applied Sciences D\u00fcsseldorf) and Prof. Stefan Luppold (DHBW Ravensburg), who contribute their expertise in event innovation and creative thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also included in the programme is the format \u201cSpeed Dating with a Purpose\u201d, which enables short, structured conversations for targeted networking and the exchange of ideas. The social programme also includes guided city tours, a reception at the traditional Uerige Brewery, and a dinner at the K21 St\u00e4ndehaus, home to the international contemporary art collection of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00fcsseldorf as a destination for healthcare conventions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The choice of D\u00fcsseldorf as the 2025 host is not only recognition of the existing infrastructure, but also a key step in the strategic positioning of the city as a hub for international healthcare meetings. It also reflects a clear development: more and more associations from the healthcare and life sciences sector are choosing D\u00fcsseldorf as their meeting destination. In 2025, CCD already hosted the Gynaecologists\u2019 Congress, the Ophthalmologists\u2019 Congress, the Allergy Days and the German Pharmacists\u2019 Congress. On the Messe D\u00fcsseldorf exhibition grounds, RehaCare and Expopharm followed in September, with MEDICA, the world\u2019s leading medical trade fair, scheduled for November. In recent years, associations from rheumatology, plastic surgery and neurorehabilitation have also deliberately chosen D\u00fcsseldorf as their host city. It has also been announced that the ADKA Annual Congress \u2013 the German Hospital Pharmacists\u2019 Association \u2013 will be held in D\u00fcsseldorf in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Infrastructure and compliance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CCD Convention Center D\u00fcsseldorf and the exhibition grounds offer venues and spaces for congresses of all sizes, located in immediate proximity to the airport and embedded in a strong network of clinics, research institutions, and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A particular strength of the CCD lies in its team\u2019s proven expertise in meeting the industry-specific requirements of medical and healthcare-related events.
